Required accessory and compatibility notes: 

Cars with the Logic 7 (fiber optic) system require the installation of the MOST fiber optic audio adapter. Select above in the "Car Audio System" drop-down menu.

The "BMW Assist" option on the E90/92/93 is a part of the stock stereo- radio on most years and models.   Removal of the stock stereo for ANY reason may result in the car displaying "SOS error" in the gauge cluster.  If your car does this, any BMW tech (independent or dealer) can remove the BMW assist option from the car's programming by "coding" the car appropriately. Once the car is coded to remove the option, the error message will no longer show.
